[glow=black,2,600]This thread is for telling others about any good books you have read that you would recommend.
I love "The Picture of Dorian Gray" by Oscar Wilde. I've read it several times already, and I'm thinking of pulling it out to read it yet again. Great book. [/glow]

The Silmarillion. If yer a fan of Lord of the Rings and haven't read this yet. Do it...NOW! It is simply put..breathtaking. It is difficult to read, but worthwhile to put the time in.

For anyone wishing to look into shamanic studies without it affecting their religious beliefs, I recommend Traveling Between the Worlds by Hilary S Webb. She interviewed shamans from all religions - Hawai'i, Tibet, South American, Christian, Jewish Orthodox, Native American, Castanedan - and their discussions are absolutely brilliant and a wonderful idea of how to incorporate shamanism into everyday life.

What type of books do you all like to read - I couldn't be a part of a club though - it takes me too long to find time to read, so I don't finish my books too fast. Work, 4 year old, housework, finances, you know the drill - and everytime I try to read at lunch that seems to be everyone's cue to BUG ME! I really dug I Never Promised You A Rose Garden by Hannah Green aka Joanne Greenberg.... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I_Never_Promised_You_a_Rose_Garden
