Well, the kids and I just watched Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi. Probably the best out of the original trilogy, if for no other reason than Leia's slave-girl outift and the Ewoks.

Coinkydink. We had a Star Wars marathon. Stopped at A New Hope. Watch Empire & Jedi today. I have to disagree though. Empire is by far the best out of all 6 SW movies imo. Leia - YES! Loving that pic btw Ewoks - Han rules all though. If only just for him taking a rush of blood to the head and chasing a Stormtrooper up a corridor.

Now I didn't say it was the best, I said probably the best. There is a difference. See, I have a bit of a hard time deciding which I prefer, because I like them all. And I suppose it depends on my mood which I prefer. But I do have a special place in my heart for the original trilogy, likely because that was the set that got me hooked. Kinda like a first kiss. lol But how dare you talk bad about my ewoks!!! I mean, they're no Yoda, true, but they are cute lil buggars!

There's no competition for me. Empire Strikes Back is the greatest of all 6, not just the originals. There was something just so...wow about it. It was bleak, and at there was no happy ending. Something about that just struck a chord with me.
Gah Ewoks. Jawas were better and they stunk. BOOTEENY!

Well I am gonna have to say A New Hope is it for me ... I like all 6 - don't get me wrong, but I was a kid when ANH came out and me and my fam chilled at the drive in.... I had never seen anything like it - I was a sci fi junky after that. Oh and Han and the Ewoks RULE!

The hubby and I watched The Chronicles of Riddick last night after the kids went to bed. First time in a long time we got to watch a movie together at night since he's working third shift now, but he took the night off, FINALLY, so we had some well-deserved "quality" time. It wasn't much like Pitch Black, but that was a good thing. You could tell they were two different movies. I hate sequels that feel like the same thing. The Chronicles of Riddick is a great movie, but I hated the ending! (Not giving anything away, but if you've seen it, then you probably know what I'm talking about.) And I absolutely love the choreography in the fight scenes!

I seen CoR in the theatre some time ago, but I must admit, I remember it was a fab movie, but I don't remember the ending. Probably for the same reason you didn't like it - I tend to block displeasing parts of entertainment out - can use the brain space for better filling! LOL

Was it the Theatrical or Directors Cut? Cause the DC is even better than the Theatrical. Everything makes more sense.
Last movies I saw: LotRs Trilogy EE, and this morning Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.
Tried to watch Napolean Dynamite..but it was so bad I turned it off.

It was the director's cut. I always prefer those. We bought the trilogy and the case says "franchise collection".

Tried to watch Napolean Dynamite..but it was so bad I turned it off. I could not get into Napolean Dynamite either .... everyone rants and raves about that movie, but it bored me to pieces when the stupidity wasn't making me irritated.

I didn't get it. Is it supposed to be funny? What is the point of the movie?

Been on a comedy streak lately. Watched Benchwarmers - a riot of a comedy! Also watched Larry the Cable Guy - Health Inspector ... also a good laugh. I must say Benchwarmers is the best of these two in my opinion.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Absolutely loved it. Twisted, weird, quirky and Johnny Depp was brilliant as always. ;D
