Posiedon .... incredible, even the second time around. Actually it is a remake, but kind of not. The writer's decided to tell a different story of a different group of people - same situation. It was quite butt clenching!

You mean Silent Swill? I mean Silent Hill! Yeah, trying to block that one right out. LOL It really really could have been a wonderful movie - it had so much potential, but the writing was HORRIBLE - choppy storyline and very redundant in many ways - especially the line "SHARON!" (we kept laughing about putting Ozzy in the starring role because he already has perfected the main line(s)). Seeing a flick that is bad is one thing, but seeing one with so much potential be done so hokey really bums me out.

You're the first person I've known that said they didn't like it. I've not heard any bad reviews for it at all.

You're the first person I've known that said they didn't like it. I've not heard any bad reviews for it at all. Ya know, we heard negative things... but we always judge for ourselves. Despite some comments I had heard I tried real hard to find the good in the script (even chastising my husband for dissin' it early on); but eventually I had to admit, that at least for me (a horror/suspense buff) it was a real "cool looking" movie, there were too many gaps in the story and things that just didn't add up right - to the point we are laughing at the fact they are actually trying to be serious about this script. It had oh so much potential - if someone else would have wrote it!

Last i saw was Superman Returns. It was ok. I hadn't heard much about the plot but i was kinda hoping they would go with a Superman killed by Doomsday line. I had read a proposed screenplay on some site of that and wanted to see it in movie form. Ah well. wasn't too bad.after such a long hiatus i was just glad to a supes movie again.
Personally my fave Star Wars is Revenge of the Sith. Just because Anakin is so bad ass evil from the middle to the end of that one.

Last night I watched Empire Strikes Back (it was on the movie channel ) and Unleashed. You all know my thoughts on Empire, so I don't need to go through it again lol Unleashed: Jet Li, Bob Hoskins and Morgan Freeman. Nice interesting twist on a martial arts movie. My only niggle was it was set in Glasgow, filmed in Glasgow but featured no Glaswegian or even Scottish characters. Very odd. Good movie nonetheless, I love Jet Li in everything Ive seen him in. He owns.

I loved Unleashed ... didn't catch the lack of Scottish - but those little details are the part I leave to my BFF to point out - she is a total "movie-land dweller" - it gives her an excuse to ignore her LACK of a social life - hahaha. But it is strange they would set a movie somewhere and not have any of the actual heritage in it?! (w/ exceptions of like LOTR in NZ)

A social what? What is this life you speak of? Can you buy em on Ebay? Baacck to the movie though. Yeah I really enjoyed it, despite the small niggle of no Scottish characters. Was a very interesting idea and the fight scenes were brilliant as per for Jet.

King Arthur - Directors Cut. I never thought I'd like this movie..but I LOVE it. Not so much of the myth that I enjoy about the Arthurian legends. But it's a very good movie and an interesting take on the story. Having a warrior Guinevere was interesting too. Excalibur still PWNS it though.

Have you ever seen Mists of Avalon? It is a totally awesome take on that legend from Morgaine's perspective. I really dug it and am EVENTUALLY going to get around to reading the book - but it is a fat one.
